My history which led me to become a personal trainer:
Our founder, Queensland born Jason, was heavily involved in martial arts & fitness training from an early age. During his school years he participated & competed nationally as an highly regarded Judo expert & qualified to compete at the Edinburgh Commonwealth Games, at the young age of 16.
After retiring from Judo, Jason studied several martial arts & found his calling when he was introduced to Hung Suen Wing Chun. He studied under the watchful eyes of Sifu Alfredo Del-Brocco & Simu Rachel Del-Brocco in 1998 at their Brisbane academy. Jason holds the utmost respect for Alf & Rachel for assisting him with getting over some troubling times & becoming a much better person inside and out. Jason studied Wing Chun for over 10 years and gained respect from his peers, the martial arts Wing Chun & for himself ranking very high in the MMA tournaments he competed in, with 4 wins and 1 loss in heavy weight division.
In 2008 Jason wanted to do more with his love of exercise & into this field he enthusiastically directed his efforts to share his passion for fitness, choosing to become a qualified health and fitness expert.
Jason is now the proud owner of a thriving Gold Coast PT service, A Better Bod Personal Training & operates his successful fitness & wellness services from Industry Health Club Located at Biggera Waters on the beautiful Gold Coast.

One of the biggest mistakes people make is they take pieces of information from various sources without tailoring them into a program suited to their own needs. We are all individuals. Everyone has a different posture, different stress levels, goals, available time, and so on.
As the body cannot differentiate between different stresses, all psychological and physical stress put upon the body must be considered before structuring a program. This is factored into account at you first consultation, and a program is tailored for your needs & goals.
If your body is already stressed, say through injury or poor diet, to add the additional stress of an intense cardio-vascular program may actually work against improving your health. Reducing dietary stress and addressing your injuries should be the primary focus before introducing exercise to ensure more effective results.
